About Good Land

Our People

Darren is the backbone of Good Land Farms — he ensures all the wild ambitions become reality. He is lovingly referred to as Big Papa and Farmer Dare. You’ll often find him outside fussing over the comfort of his beloved cows, predicting the weather or making sure everything on his property is nice and aligned. Even as a successful businessman in Edmonton, his true passion is farming. His interest for slow food is growing so we expect exciting things to come.

Maria is the heart of Good Land Farms, as well as an ambitious and busy Grandma with a big heart! Over the last few years she has dedicated countless hours to farming, gardening and all other aspects of farm care. She is Floret Flower certified and is currently enrolled in the Organic Master Gardner (OMG) program. Maria spends most of her time in our small greenhouse, sowing seeds and tending to all her plant babies.

Thelma is the creative eye of the Good Land Farms. She has a desire to share the beauty of sustainable, specialty cut flowers with the community. Just like Maria she is enrolled in the OMG program to become an expert on gardening/farming. Ironically, Thelma is actually quite allergic to the outdoors and farm environment. In-between sneezes, you can find her caring for the flower garden, chasing around the Good Land Farm boys, incubating eggs and then documenting all these activities on instagram: @goodlandfarms.

Alexa, Lucas & Nate are the buds of Good Land Farms. They are naturals in farm maintenance and although they are still young each one has a speciality. Alexa is a natural animal whisperer. Lucas is the Good Land Farms gator driver. Nate absolutely loves tractor rides and enjoys collecting eggs.

And meet the rest of our family at Good Land Farms, as our company would not be the same without them…
